BEYOND REALITY
60 hours spread over 6 days of rehearsing and shooting (3 nights / 3 days) to film this crossover stunt action previs short film. For most stunt previs concept work, the director gives the stunt coordinator and/or fight choreographer a brief and they’ll create an action sequence for them based on the scripted action. Usually, they only last a few minutes, so I wanted to take a slightly different approach with this project.
The previs was originally created as a series of still images with the action designed around the locations we were going to work with. With only a couple of lines of dialogue scripted, the focus was placed on including a variety of different gags throughout whilst trying to keep the flow of action on a believable level.
